One of the biggest debates in medicine today is the safety of vaccinations. There is no disputing that they have saved many lives, but they have also caused a lot damage as well. Everyone has their own opinions as to whether vaccines are safe and whether they should be mandatory. For a discussion on the pros and cons of vaccination, you can visit https://vaccines.procon.org.

Because we are at the beginning of a new school year and the start of flu season, I am sharing with you things you can do before vaccination for a better experience.

1. Never vaccinate when you are sick. The body is already in a state of heightened immune system activity.

2. Spread out the vaccines over several visits instead of all at once. This prevents immune overstimulation.

3. Ice the injection spot immediately following injection for 20 minutes and repeat every 2 hours. This process slows down the rate of absorption and thus the immune response.

4. Flavonoids like turmeric and quercetin have been found to block the ability of adjuvants in the vaccines to trigger a long-term immune reaction. Turmeric also helps with reducing inflammation and pain.

Try to avoid use of acetaminophen (aka Tylenol). It reduces the production of glutathione, a powerful antioxidant used to eliminate toxins.

5. Hydration is important because it is crucial for eliminating toxic build-up in the body. Just a 3-5% decrease in fluids can have a negative impact on many systems of the body.

6. Vitamin C has been shown to be highly effective at neutralizing the neurotoxin mercury (found in many vaccines) so it is recommended to take it before and after vaccination.

7. Vitamin D3 helps when your immune system is over-reacting by cooling down the reaction; if you are under-reacting, it helps to boost your immune response.

8. Magnesium enhances our immune defenses and is needed in larger amounts when the body is under stress. It can be taken before and after vaccination. Magnesium deficiency is also associated with neurological decline.

9. Selenium is also important to neutralize mercury.

10. Omega -3 (fish oils) to reduce the immune system response and inflammation.
